For the past 15 years, the Indiana Arts Council has been sharing and uplifting the artwork of students and youth in Indiana County. Reimagined in 2024, this program will be installed throughout downtown Indiana. Join us this year and support the next generation of artists!

FAQs

Who can participate?

Art Students in Grades K -12 will have the opportunity to have their art pieces featured in a public exhibit and be selected for awards. Teachers, including homeschool teachers, public and private school teachers may select a large variety of student art (up to 4 display panels). Special Events + Awards Presentation on Sat, April 20th.

What is the concert and awards presentation?

On Saturday, April 20th - the day of the Downtown Indiana ArtsWalk - the Indiana Arts Council will be hosting a celebration of the visual and performing arts.

Can students in homeschooling programs or charter schools participate?

Absolutely! Just fill out our forms and submit by February 25th to be assured a spot.

What’s new this year?

We’re in downtown Indiana this year. And we have 2 new extras programming components! The all-new “Youth Arts Passport” and a Raffle to be held as part of the Awards Ceremony on April 20. A “Youth Arts Passport” will be given to participating students and will be made available at participating Downtown Indiana businesses for family/friends/community members to encourage students and their family members to visit all of the YAC display locations and music venues.

- Youth Arts Passports will need to be signed by business staff for verification at each stop.

- Completed Youth Arts Passports must be turned at or prior to the YAC Awards Presentation on April 20 to be entered into the YAC Raffle Drawing. Winners announced at the event.

In addition, The Downtown Indiana Arts Walk will also be happening on April 20th, giving students access to local artists and their studios.
